A South Austin therapy practice

The room
where you can
stop performing.

Therapy for thoughtful adults who look fine on the outside — and feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or quietly stuck inside. Talk therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and psychedelic integration, held with care.

Who this is for
  1. You look capable from the outside. Inside, it costs more than anyone knows.

  2. You over-function in relationships and quietly wonder why no one ever asks how you are.

  3. You can articulate your patterns. You just cannot seem to interrupt them.

  4. You notice the moment you go numb — and you do not know how to come back.

  5. You have done some therapy. You are ready for something that meets you deeper.

If any of that landed — even a little — this practice may be a fit.

The approach

I do not think the goal of therapy is getting fixed.

Most of the people I work with are not broken. They are protected. The patterns that bring them to therapy — the people-pleasing, the quiet self-criticism, the over-functioning, the numbing — were once smart adaptations to a younger context. They worked. They are also, now, the thing in the way.

So we slow down. We meet the parts of you that have been working too hard, and we listen to what they have been protecting. This is relational, trauma-informed work — integrative by design. I draw on parts work, somatic awareness, attachment theory, and experiential practices, and I let the path emerge from what you actually bring into the room.

When the talking layer reaches its edge — and for many thoughtful clients, it does — ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic integration can open access to material the analytical mind has been guarding for years. Held well, that access becomes real change. Not insight stacked on insight. Capacity.

About Emily

I was the overachieving people-pleaser first.

I spent years looking like I had it together while quietly running on fumes — reading the room, managing other people, performing okay-ness. The work I do with clients is the work I have done myself, held by therapists, teachers, and a long, slow return to my own body.

That lived experience shows up in the room as patience. As the ability to hold complexity without rushing you out of it. As an honest sense that real change is possible — because I have lived it.

Common questions

A few things worth asking.

  • What is ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, exactly?

KAP is a structured form of therapy that uses a legal, prescribed medicine — ketamine — to temporarily soften the analytical layer of the mind so we can reach material the talking layer guards. The medicine itself is not the work; the work is the careful preparation before and the integration after, held in a therapeutic relationship.

  • Do I have to do KAP to work with you?

No. Many of my clients work in talk therapy only. KAP is an option for clients who feel ready and for whom it is clinically appropriate. We decide together, slowly, and never on the first call.

  • How do I know if this is a fit before I commit?

Send an inquiry through the form below — a few sentences is plenty. If it seems like a possible fit, I will offer a free 20-minute consult so we can hear each other’s voices and you can ask whatever you need to ask before booking a first session.
